Meet the Owner
Hey, I’m Colleen! Lead designer, small business owner, and your go-to PLANT LADY.
I grew up gawking at the place my grandparents called home, that magical little town in the Canadian Rockies. Jasper was where I became obsessed with summer fields of wildflowers and testing out my green thumb every chance I could get. Little by little over those years, a deep sense of belonging grew inside of me. To own a shop like this in a place like that - it was like I stepped into my very own flowerfilled dream.
But every day I wake up to the best reality – I get to help people like you celebrate their most special moments, send love to the people they care about, and fill rooms with flowers that spark joy for everyone around. How freakin’ cool is that?
And I get to do it in my own way, with lots of spirit, a splash of sass, and my signature bossy florist energy. I might own a small town flower shop, but it’s got a big personality. We like it like that.

Our Roots
From long-time LOCAL flower shop to BLOOMING FLORAL DESIGN studio, here’s our story!
We’re grown from the roots of our original owners, who opened a flower shop in the community of Jasper over 30 years ago. They named their store Elysion Florals, and rightfully so, as our little slice of mountainside is just about as close to heaven as you can get, don’t you think?
The shop budded into a local staple, bringing fresh flowers, gifts, and antiques to the town for a beautiful 20 years. Wanting to honour its history, but make it my own, my team and I have breathed new life into Jasper's only floral studio.
Our mission to give you a flowerfilled life is about more than beauty alone. It’s about living in the moment, embracing each one while you're in it, and cherishing all of your memories. We wanted to celebrate that mission with a new name that encapsulates what we do, but also why we do it.
What better inspiration than two fleeting, yet cherished pieces of our natural world? Because flowers don’t live forever, we’re constantly reminded to be in the present moment. And the mesmerising hues of orange and pink alpenglow serve as a reminder to appreciate the beauty around us while we can, leaving us unable to look away because when we do, it will be gone. Time is fleeting, so our collective endeavour is to enjoy each moment, day, and blossom, while it lasts.
Alpenflora, celebrates this incredible mountain region, just as its original name did, while also representing the high-end floral design, years of expertise, and artistic approach we bring to every single arrangement, whether it's for your wedding day or sent 'just because'.
